Why Male Models?
Why Male Models?
Three ways this game could go, seven lineups that tell the story, and what has to happen for us to look like we know what we’re doing.
Latest personnel: Tampa is without Winfield, Morrison and Dennis; Dallas is without Durant, Overshown and Shelton. Smith’s return improves Dallas’s blocking outlook, but does not guarantee where the touchdowns land. [1][12]
The matchup in four numbers
Reason to explore a passing-led Dallas attack [3]
Tampa has a path to keep drives alive [3]
Accurate completions did not produce much yardage [2]
Han Solo's turnover story asks for a change [3]
Rothstein Model
There are three ways of doing things around here: the right way, the wrong way, and the way I do it.
Dallas controls the game. Tampa does enough to contribute, and scoring lands near our saved Dallas −8.5 / total 47.5 market anchor: implied totals of 28 and 19.5. This is our original model anchor, not a live quote. An October 8 FantasyLabs preview lists Dallas −8.5 with a 48.5 total (implied 28.5–20); the model below retains its original assumptions and has not been rerun against that newer snapshot. [6][15]
- Javonte Williams$10,800
- Dak Prescott$10,400
- Cade Otton$4,400
- Ryan Flournoy$3,800
- Ted Hurst III$2,800
- Javonte Williams$10,800
- Dak Prescott$10,400
- Jalon Daniels$8,600
- Ryan Flournoy$3,800
- Tez Johnson$2,200
Why it works: Lamb's catches and yardage drive the Core Build, with Williams retaining his scoring opportunities. The Touchdown Bet gives Pickens the multiplier for a two-receiving-TD branch and deliberately fades Lamb.
What breaks it: Williams taking the touchdowns hurts Lamb Captain. Lamb taking the passing scores hurts Pickens Captain. Hurst and Tez Johnson remain uncertain-volume salary plays; cheap does not mean dependable.
Testing takeaway: The Core Build led our seven candidates in average points within the central Rothstein simulation. Pickens's two-TD allocation is a scenario to test, not a forecast to treat as fact.
Han Solo Model
Never tell me the odds.
Dallas moves mainly through the air. Tampa hangs around early, then stalled drives and two or three turnovers put it behind. Dallas gives one back, because apparently a comfortable Thursday wasn't included in the NFL Package. Working score: 27–16.
- CeeDee Lamb$11,800
- George Pickens$9,400
- Chase McLaughlin$5,000
- Cade Otton$4,400
- Ryan Flournoy$3,800
- CeeDee Lamb$11,800
- Jake Ferguson$6,400
- Brandon Aubrey$5,400
- Chase McLaughlin$5,000
- Cowboys DST$4,800
Why it works: The Core Build captures Dallas receiving production and Tampa catches and field goals. The Touchdown Bet tests Ferguson with two receiving TDs, while Dak stays Captain; both kickers and Dallas defense benefit from the stalled-drive story. Ferguson has a two-TD game this season, but that is precedent, not a promise. [5]
What breaks it: Tampa finishes drives with touchdowns instead of field goals, or short fields leave Dak without the yardage we need. McLaughlin is the Touchdown Bet's only Tampa player. Dallas entered with four sacks and no interceptions, so the takeaway assumption is deliberately aggressive. [3]
Testing takeaway: Both builds held up within this script. The kickers-and-defense version weakened sharply when Tampa sustained more offense. Our 27-point illustration allows three offensive TDs and two field goals—not a touchdown for everybody.
Coach Taylor Model
Y’all ought to be proud of yourselves. That was a hell of an effort tonight.
Tampa limits turnovers to 0–1, Daniels extends drives, and Dallas keeps throwing into the fourth quarter. The underdog makes it interesting and still loses: 28–24.
- CeeDee Lamb$11,800
- Jalon Daniels$8,600
- Chris Godwin Jr.$7,200
- Ryan Flournoy$3,800
- Ted Hurst III$2,800
- Dak Prescott$10,400
- Jalon Daniels$8,600
- Bucky Irving$8,400
- Cade Otton$4,400
- Ryan Flournoy$3,800
Why it works: Godwin and Daniels give the Core Build a route to Tampa production. The Touchdown Bet swaps the receiving emphasis for Irving's backfield opportunity and a Pickens two-TD branch. Daniels ran for 55 yards last week; Godwin caught six passes, though they produced only 31 yards. Tampa needs progress, not a replay. [2]
What breaks it: Tampa punts away the competitive game. Hurst's limited volume also threatens the Core Build; a big Lamb night threatens the Touchdown Bet. Daniels and Irving cannot both collect the same rushing touchdown.
Testing takeaway: The Core Build led our seven candidates in average points within this script. Payout rankings changed with the assumed field. Both versions fade Williams; the Touchdown Bet also fades Lamb.
The Williams variation: throws get the credit, runs get the touchdowns
Dallas can move through the air while Williams finishes the drives. Keep Han Solo's 27–16 picture, but give Williams two rushing TDs, Dallas one passing TD and two field goals.
- CeeDee Lamb$11,800
- Dak Prescott$10,400
- Chase McLaughlin$5,000
- Ryan Flournoy$3,800
- Ted Hurst III$2,800
Why it works: Williams gets the multiplier; Dak and Lamb can still earn points through yardage and catches. Williams has 15 catches for 77 yards and one receiving TD through four games, offering a PPR cushion rather than premium receiving upside. [4]
What breaks it: Dallas throws the goal-line scores or shares the carries. Hurst still needs involvement, and McLaughlin needs field-goal opportunities.
Testing takeaway: This led our seven candidates in average points within the Williams script. It is a touchdown-allocation alternative to Han Solo, not a fourth independently validated strategy.
