About The Sunday Grind

The Sunday Grind covers sports, gambling, and the everyday business of being a grown man who supposedly has this figured out.

It started with the kind of conversations that happen at 6:00 a.m., before the wife and kids wake up. Somebody has a theory. Somebody demands proof. Somebody sends a screenshot that proves absolutely nothing. We take the questions worth answering and put a little research behind them.

Written with married, middle-aged sports fans in mind. Open to anyone who appreciates useful information, sarcasm, and an occasional reference that requires remembering life before streaming.

Facts should have sources. Projections should explain their assumptions. Opinions should survive a follow-up question.

We’ll distinguish what the data shows from what we think it means, acknowledge what we don’t know, and correct mistakes when we find them. Historical results aren’t promises. Neither is a confident guy with a podcast microphone.

The statistics get taken seriously. We try to extend ourselves a little less courtesy.
